X
“X” is a six meters long hand woven textile consisting of two intertwining layers that intersect and change position in movement.
A study of woven structures with opposing qualities, "X" investigates reflections of light on one layer and transparency on the other. Whilst gradient hand-dyed indigo waves run through strict network of grids, the actual weaving is done simultaneously row by row. It is a complicated double weaving technique that gives an opportunity for the coexisting yarns on the warp to merge and brake apart at the same time.
